Sheryl Underwood was born and raised in Arkansas and raised in the state. She was a television host of the talk show on daytime The Talk. Sheryl was brought up within Little Rock. Sheryl was raised by an extremely difficult household. Sheryl was raised by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered from Polio. When she was a child, she had a difficult relationship to her maternal grandmother. Sheryl claims that her mom had a time when she stabbed her father over getting too close. Sheryl joined the military upon her graduation from college. Her passion was comedy. She was chosen as the first woman to be a finalist of the Miller Lite Comedy Search, held in 1989. She started her TV professional career in 1992, when she became a regular performer for the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she appeared as host of the television show Oh Drama! In 2011, she's a cohost of the talk show. In addition she has also been in fictional roles on shows like Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
